Star fest talkStar Fest 2019 was the first astronomy festival, organised by Cranborne Chase AONB, last weekend at Church Farm Sixpenny Handley

The Cranborne Chase Landscape Trust helped with the event including activities for children over the weekend.

Although the evenings were cloudy during the event there were lots of other family-friendly workshops and events during the day.

Highlights included Interactive virtual reality and rocket making workshops with Space Detectives; the Travelling Planetarium Show, with Astronomer Bob Mizon; Fire side storytelling with Lizzie Bryant; and Astrophotography advice and demonstrations.

Plus  loads of information about the bid to make the Cranborne Chase AONB an International Dark Skies reserve.
