Please help shape the future of the Cranborne Chase AONB

Every five years the AONB Management Plan is reviewed. As part of this task they have launched this public consultation to gather views on the draft Management Plan to cover the period 2019-24. This is your opportunity to make known your thoughts and ideas on this draft Plan.

The Cranborne Chase AONB is a nationally protected landscape of international significance. Forming part of the extensive belt of chalkland that stretches across southern central England, the AONBs special qualities flow from the historical interaction of humans and the land. Qualities include its diversity, distinctiveness, sense of history and remoteness, dark night skies, tranquillity; and its overwhelmingly rural character.

The landscapes, and the wildlife they support, are some of the special features of Cranborne Chase AONB. Their future is protected and enhanced through an AONB Management Plan, a legal document which is adopted by all the local authorities in which the Cranborne Chase AONB sits.

There is a 12 week period in which you can make your views known, ending at 5pm on Tuesday 27th November 2018.
